Traveling Guide to Tanzania

Tanzania has a bit of everything for a traveller looking to experience a safari spotting wildlife, while also combining it with a beachside escape. It has Africa’s number one wildlife destination at the Serengeti National Park, the highest mountain in Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro and an oasis of underwater life on the Island of Zanzibar.

One of the highlights of the year in Tanzania is one of the natures most amazing natural sites. It is known as the annual Great Migration and this is where millions of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle leave the Serengeti National Park and make the journey into Kenya searching for larger water supplies. Watching the famous river crossings is a sought after time of year to visit Tanzania and this usually occurs between July and November.

As mentioned above spotting wildlife on safari is far from the only things to do in Tanzania. Other popular outdoor activities to do include diving or snorkelling in the crystal clear waters of Zanzibar, fishing for tuna or other sport fishing is also popular in Zanzibar. If hiking is your idea of fun then trekking to the summit of the highest mountain in Africa is extremely popular.
